Bitget Wallet Launches Assetback: Cardholders Can Earn Bitcoin, Tokenized Gold, and U.S. Stocks as Cashback
The program is available only to users who hold a Bitget Wallet Card and meet the eligibility requirements. Instead of the usual cash‑back, Assetback lets cardholders choose from seven reward assets: Bitcoin (BTC), tokenized gold (Tether Gold), tokenized shares of NVIDIA, Tesla, and Alphabet, an S&P 500‑linked ETF token, and USDC. Cardholders earn a base 2 % reward on qualifying spend. Those who hit a monthly spend threshold unlock a 3 % booster rate that applies for the rest of the current calendar month and the following month.
Rewards are credited to the card’s balance or a dedicated rewards account after a seven‑day waiting period. Withdrawals are allowed only once the accumulated value reaches at least one USDC. Assetback replaces Bitget Wallet’s earlier zero‑fee rewards program. The new model introduces monthly caps, excludes certain merchant categories, and subjects transactions to risk reviews. Refunds, reversals, or cancelled payments do not qualify for rewards. Users must complete identity verification and reside in a jurisdiction where the card is supported. Conversion, foreign‑exchange, and other fees that apply to the card’s underlying crypto‑to‑fiat conversion are not covered by the rewards.
Tokenized equity rewards are issued through the xStocks platform, which creates blockchain tokens backed 1:1 by the underlying U.S. securities held in regulated custody. While these tokens provide on‑chain exposure to the named stocks and ETF, they are not identical to holding the shares in a traditional brokerage account. Rights to dividends, voting, and redemption, as well as investor protections, depend on the issuer, the platform, and the user’s location. Bitget Wallet notes that these rewards are available only to eligible users.
The Bitget Wallet Card operates across Europe, Asia, Latin America, and is expanding into Africa. Depending on the regional issuing partner, the card is issued on the Visa or Mastercard network and supports Apple Pay and Google Pay where available. Users can top up the wallet with multiple blockchain networks, and the card converts selected crypto assets to fiat at the point of purchase. The company states that applicable conversion and FX fees are disclosed in the card’s terms.
According to Bitget Wallet, the platform has more than 100 million users and saw spending through its card nearly triple during the first half of 2026. The company cited a monthly crypto‑card payment volume of $656 million in May, compared with $271 million a year earlier. Those figures are self‑reported and have not been independently audited.
To access Assetback, users must install Bitget Wallet app version 9.5.3 or later. After selecting a reward asset, the cashback is automatically converted, creating small recurring purchases rather than requiring a separate trade after each card payment. The company describes the process as a form of dollar‑cost averaging on routine spending. Bitcoin, tokenized gold, and equity‑linked products can rise or fall in value after rewards are credited.
Because Bitget Wallet is not a publicly traded entity and the announcement does not introduce a new token, there is no immediate market reaction. The next measurable indicators will be redemption activity, reward volumes, and the rate at which regional cardholders adopt non‑cash rewards following the August 1 launch.
