Gate’s Gate DexBuilder just dropped a new tool that could make event‑based markets a lot easier to build.

On 7 August 2026, Gate, the global digital‑asset platform, announced that its DEX infrastructure arm has released its first Event Contracts Builder. The launch is paired with a $3 million grant program designed to help project teams, developers and Web3 builders create event‑based trading markets.

The Event Contracts Builder is a modular infrastructure service that bundles market creation, trading, liquidity support, settlement, and operational management into a single platform. It offers API and SDK integration, market‑data feeds, order‑ and position‑management tools, settlement logic, risk‑control mechanisms, an operations dashboard, and support for multi‑terminal integration. By providing these components together, Gate says partners no longer need to build the underlying trading systems and liquidity layers from scratch.

Gate says the builder is open to a wide range of users, including brokers, comprehensive trading platforms, crypto wallets, Web3 applications, media and information platforms, community‑content sites, AI‑driven trading and quantitative platforms, as well as sports, esports and entertainment projects. Projects at any stage—from ideation and MVP to testing and live launch—are eligible to apply.

The accompanying grant program can award up to $3 million to selected builders. Funding is intended to cover product development, technical integration, liquidity building, market launch and user growth. In addition to capital, winners receive technical support, official showcases, community exposure, joint AMAs, media promotion and ecosystem partnerships. Gate has not disclosed the specific criteria for selection or the distribution schedule.

"The future development of event contract markets will depend not only on the growth of trading volume, but also on a broader range of application scenarios and open infrastructure support," said Jason Fung, Head of Gate DexBuilder and Head of Global Partnerships. He added that Gate DexBuilder aims to provide partners across different industries with flexible and efficient building capabilities, accelerating the integration of event contract markets with a wider range of real‑world and Web3 use cases.

Gate has expanded its presence in recent years into event contract markets, decentralized exchanges, artificial intelligence and real‑world asset tokenisation. The company, founded in 2013 by Dr. Han, serves more than 58 million users worldwide and supports trading of over 4,900 digital assets and 12,500 stock assets. Gate is also known for implementing 100 % Proof of Reserves and for its ecosystem that includes Gate Wallet, Gate Ventures and Gate for AI Agent.

The Event Contracts Builder is positioned as a step toward a one‑stop, multi‑asset digital‑asset service ecosystem. By lowering the technical barrier to entry, Gate hopes to spur the creation of new event‑based markets that span crypto assets, sports outcomes, esports tournaments, macroeconomic indicators, AI developments and other industry events.

At present, the program is in its initial launch phase. Gate has not announced a timeline for when grants will be disbursed or when the builder will be available to the broader community. The company also has not released detailed metrics on how many projects will receive funding or the exact scope of the support offered.

Gate’s announcement signals a continued push to build open infrastructure for emerging financial primitives. Whether the Event Contracts Builder and its grant program will accelerate the adoption of event‑based markets remains to be seen, but the platform’s modular approach and the backing of a sizable grant fund provide a clear signal of Gate’s commitment to expanding the ecosystem.
